Creating Super Fan character...Input needed

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 6, 2011, 10:57 AM

-----------

So today one of my friends suggested this really wierd idea & I think it could very well be a great one. So here's how it goes, I will design a fan character (maybe each week or two, but no promises). The catch is that the character will be divided into parts & people commenting in this journal can describe a part from top to bottom. I know it confusing at first but here's the parts division. I start of with whether the character is good, bad, monster,Young or Old.

This week lets start with Good.

Comment 1: Hair
Comment 2: Face/Eye shape(color)/Nose/any other accessories
Comment 3: Body(Type of clothes or armor)
Comment 4: Hands( Incase he wears any accessories like armbands & stuff)
Comment 5: Legs Pants, loincloth, shin guards etc
Comment 6: Shoes
Comment 7: Powers (if any)
Comment 8: Any thing extra

So heres how it goes, the first person to comment will get to choose the hair, the second pone the face & so on. Only the earliest comment on a particular part will be considered but that doesnt stop you from commenting on the next one. I think if it goes well we could create some Awesome characters. Also you will have the describe each part in detail or link a reference pic at least.

Also the character design will only start once at least the first 7 parts are filled & it'll take either 1 or 2 weeks as my schedule is a bit tight. So get started guys....

  • Mood: Content
  • Listening to: One Day- One piece
  • Watching: Big Boss Season 4
  • Drinking: H20 as always

Comment 7: He coughs up tar that has alcohol, lights it in flame with a tobacco pipe, and spits it towards his enemies. If that counts as a power :D

Well if you are saying this considering all the other design elements, I suppose it counts.

I could come up with something more "super" though, but I don't know how it would fit a steampunk character. To my knowledge the combination of steampunk and superpowers would be in quite an uncharted waters.

I was thinking something to do with the themes of progression in the Victorian era that can also be viewed as regression from today's point of view, so that the character wouldn't be one-dimensional. Examples would be colonialism, industrialization, and the clash of machines and nature.

Comment 6: Steel Toed Boots. black, leathery, with that broken-in feel.

Hmm... comment 5, so what to do for pants.... I say... give him some torn jeans, something that shows wear and tear. Like on the lages being ripped up to the knees or covered in mud...

Hmm well since I get the hands I suggest heavy gloves with a metal band across the back of the hands and another bit of armor to protect the forearm not unlike a bracer.

Describe with a ref pic or a detailed description, Jorge. You're still at no 3. :) The fun is you get to choose the design yourself, I will only be drawing without trying to add any of my influence as far as possible.

SAme goes for CCNash. :)
